Igal Breitman, MDSpecialty: General Surgery Dr. Igal Breitman is a board-certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, specializing in minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic procedures. He earned his medical degree from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Faculty of Health Sciences in Israel in 1996. Dr. Breitman completed his general surgery training in both Tel Aviv, Israel, and at the Quillen College of Medicine in Tennessee. He went on to complete a fellowship in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Rochester in New York. Dr. Breitman has held several leadership roles throughout his career. He served as Director of Bariatric Surgery at Mercy Health in Rockford, Illinois, and at Cheyenne Medical Center in Wyoming. He also held the position of Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Breitman performs a wide range of general surgery procedures, as well as upper endoscopies and colonoscopies. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, hiking, camping, skiing, and caring for his reef tanks. |
